Emerging Technologies and Creative Industries - A Vision for the FutureFriday June 23rd 2006 - Leicester Marriott Hotel
Over 80 delegates attended the ETCI06 Conference at the Marriott Hotel on the outskirts of Leicester
Keynote speakers from the United States and Oman along with a range of regional speakers, presented the challenge for the East Midlands in harnessing new emerging technologies within the creative industries sector. The day started by looking at the technology advances being made at a global level and then developed towards a more focused view of what local organisations are doing to successfully implement these advances for the benefit of the East Midlands.
The day allowed delegates not only to update their knowledge, but also to see how local companies are taking full advantage of the opportunities that new digital technologies are offering.

The day ended with presentations by representatives from higher education and the public sector to consider the support that is needed to enable the East Midlands to meet its targets.
